Registration Terms

Effective Date: September 16, 2026

Welcome to America’s Faultline. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the America’s Faultline website, articles, commentary, community discussions, embedded media, documents, and related services.

By accessing or using America’s Faultline, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. About America’s Faultline

America’s Faultline is a current-affairs and public-affairs publication focused on political, legal, economic, social, cultural, and institutional issues affecting the United States.

The site is built around an evidence-first approach. Where practical, articles may provide direct access to primary or original-source material, including government documents, legislation, court decisions, public records, official statements, videos, reports, statistics, and other supporting evidence.

America’s Faultline does not exist to tell readers what political conclusions they must reach. Its purpose is to present information, context, evidence, and competing perspectives so readers can evaluate important issues for themselves.

2. Informational Purpose

Content published on America’s Faultline is intended for informational, educational, journalistic, and discussion purposes.

Nothing on the site should be considered legal, financial, medical, investment, tax, or other professional advice.

Readers are responsible for evaluating information and obtaining qualified professional advice when appropriate.

3. Accuracy and Developing Stories

America’s Faultline aims to publish accurate information and to distinguish established facts from interpretation, allegation, opinion, and unresolved questions.

Current events can change quickly.

Articles may be updated, corrected, expanded, or revised as new information becomes available.

The presence of an article does not guarantee that every fact, source, statement, or interpretation will remain current indefinitely.

4. Primary Sources and Evidence

America’s Faultline may link to or embed source materials including:

  • legislation;

  • court opinions;

  • government reports;

  • public records;

  • official statements;

  • videos;

  • hearing testimony;

  • research;

  • statistics;

  • agency documents;

  • polling;

  • public databases.

Source materials remain subject to the rights, terms, and policies of their respective publishers or owners.

Providing access to a source does not necessarily mean America’s Faultline endorses every statement contained in that source.

5. Opinions and Analysis

Some content may include analysis, commentary, interpretation, or opinion.

Where appropriate, America’s Faultline will attempt to distinguish factual reporting from analysis or opinion.

Views expressed by individual authors, contributors, commenters, public figures, or third-party sources do not necessarily represent the views of America’s Faultline.

6. User Accounts

Some features may require a registered account.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.

You may not:

  • impersonate another person or organization;

  • evade account restrictions or moderation actions;

  • use automated means to create abusive or fraudulent accounts.

7. Reader Comments and Community Discussion

America’s Faultline may allow readers to comment on articles and participate in discussions.

Strong disagreement is permitted.

Personal abuse, threats, harassment, spam, deliberate disruption, and unlawful content are not.

Users are responsible for the content they submit.

8. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of original content you submit.

By posting content to America’s Faultline, you grant the site a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, format, archive, distribute, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and moderate the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions do not violate the rights of others.

9. Evidence and Claims in Discussions

Readers are encouraged to support factual claims with evidence.

When making significant claims about public events, laws, government actions, institutions, statistics, or public figures, members should provide reliable supporting information when reasonably available.

Disagreement is welcome. Deliberately fabricating evidence or knowingly misrepresenting sources is not.

10. Political Discussion

America’s Faultline covers subjects that may generate strong political disagreement.

Users may criticize:

  • political parties;

  • elected officials;

  • candidates;

  • government agencies;

  • public institutions;

  • legislation;

  • policies;

  • media organizations;

  • political movements;

  • public arguments.

Criticism should address actions, policies, evidence, statements, or ideas rather than becoming harassment or abuse directed at other community members.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original America’s Faultline articles, site design, branding, graphics, and other original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may quote limited portions for commentary, criticism, scholarship, discussion, or other uses permitted by law.

Where appropriate, sponsored or affiliate relationships will be disclosed.

Advertising does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of a product, company, service, political position, or organization.

15. No Guarantee of Completeness

No publication can provide every fact or perspective relevant to every issue.

America’s Faultline does not guarantee that any article represents the complete universe of available evidence or interpretation.

Readers are encouraged to examine original sources and additional credible information when forming conclusions.

16. Availability of the Service

America’s Faultline may modify, suspend, reorganize, or discontinue features or content at any time.

The site may experience interruptions caused by maintenance, security incidents, hosting problems, technical failures, or circumstances outside our control.

17. Moderation

Moderation actions may include:

  • editing or removing content;

  • moving discussions;

  • closing discussions;

  • issuing warnings;

  • restricting participation;

  • suspending accounts;

  • terminating accounts.

Failure to remove particular content does not constitute endorsement of that content.

18. Suspension and Termination

Accounts may be restricted or terminated for violations of these Terms, abuse, fraud, security threats, unlawful activity, harassment, spam, or attempts to interfere with the operation of the site.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

America’s Faultline is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

20. Limitation of Liability
